SEASON DATES & HUNT AVAILABILITY

  • Our Season: Early Season opens in September with chukar. More Info > Gun Dog Training. Main Pheasant and Chukar Season: opens on October 28, 2026 and runs through February. 

  • We are a reservation-based upland hunting club. It is possible to make a same day reservation, call us​

  • Days of Operation: We are open Wednesday through Sunday. Weekday hunts start at 9 AM. Weekend Hunts start at 8 AM. ​​

HOW YOUR HUNT WORKS

  • Hunting is by reserved field only. Birds are not planted until you sign in. Free roaming is reserved for pheasant card holders only. 

  • Reservations are required for all pheasant and chukar hunts.

  • Dogs are required. If you do not have a hunting dog, we have dog and their handlers available for $50/hour. 

  • NEW or YOUNG HUNTING DOG - Ask us about our intro to gun/bird program or request to flag the location of the birds during your hunt to give your dog success. Learn About Gun Dog Training - Gun Dog Training

REQUIRED GEAR & LICENSING

  • Valid California Hunting License (1-day, 2-day or full season) and Valid Upland Game Bird Stamp. > Purchase Licenses

  • Non-lead Ammunition (NO magnums or duck loads allowed). We recommend 2 3/4 - 6 shot. Please no bismuth or tungsten. 

  • Shotgun (we do not rent guns)

  • Blaze orange above the waist (hat, shirt, vest) MUST be worn by everyone in the field

  • Upland Game Bird Vest

Accommodations

Accommodations: Hotels - Staybridge Suites Rocklin (dog-friendly) or Quality Inn in Lincoln. RV/Trailers - Golden State Target Center (5 mins from club)

Bird Cleaning

Bird Cleaning: is available each shoot day. You simply leave the birds and schedule a day for pickup.
