INFORMATION

We are excited to offer two distinct programs designed to support your dogs before the upcoming season. ​​

​

  • 1st Program (Intro to Birds and Shot) is an introductory series designed specifically to new dogs and puppies.  This hands-on series will gently introduce your new hunting partner to birds and the excitement of fieldwork. Join us for an enriching experience that lays the foundation for a successful journey in the field.

  • 2nd Program (Pre-Season Dog Conditioning) - Our second program is designed for experienced dogs in need of a refresher course, perfect for those looking to sharpen their skills before the hunting season kicks off. 

Chukar Hunting

DETAILS

  • Dates: Available Wednesday through Sunday during our main pheasant/chukar season

  • Birds: Chukar will be used for these programs. You may purchase a bird card ($23/bird) or pay as you go ($26/bird). Bird cards are valid for the season.

  • Valid California Hunting License and Upland Game Bird Stamp Required > Purchase Here

PROGRAM #1 - INTRO TO BIRDS AND SHOT

  • We will walk your new dog through the session, introducing chukar and shot the correct way. 

  • Price: $45/session with our assistance plus the cost of birds (3-bird minimum)

  • This program can be do-it-yourself on the premises (cost of birds only)

  • 1/2 hour session

  • This is very successful program to get your new hunting partner on the right track to make for an excellent season 

  • This program is available starting in September and continues through beginning of March

PROGRAM #2 - PRE-SEASON CONDITIONING

  • This program is great for any experienced dog that you want to work in the field and on birds prior to season. Great for conditioning and reinforcement of training. 

  • We can flag the location of the birds to assist in your dog's fieldwork

  • 1 hour max per session 

  • 5-bird minimum per session. Multiple sessions can be scheduled.
