We specialize in mallard and wood duck shoots in our wooded marsh lands, open-grained fields and pond hunts for canadian Geese, turkey hunts in riparian habitat, pheasant hunts, and wild pig hunts in the foothills.

Pig Hunts are full board right now, Client Adam Messner is 2 for 2 on pig hunts this year with us. Here is what he had to say about it and his picture are below.

All of our pheasant hunts and chukar hunts are conducted in rice fields and mixed riparian habitat near our clubhouse in Lincoln, CA. To get a map to our clubhouse, please go to our Location page. Bird cleaning is available each shoot day. While your birds are being cleaned and packaged, you can enjoy an excellent barbeque lunch; available each and every weekend!
Pheasant and chukar season opens the 3rd week of October. GHP is open Wednesday through Sunday until 4 PM. We are closed Monday and Tuesday. Hunts are by reservation only. No membership fee or initation fee required! Dogs with their handlers available if needed for a hunt!.

Pre-Punched Cards (Punch on Release)
With the Pre-Punched cards, all birds released regardless of the number of birds recovered are deducted from the card. The minimum number of birds released in your designated field is 10% of the number of birds purchased.
With either type of card, members are allowed to free roam from their designated field after two hours, but only in those areas that are not occupied by other hunters.

REGULAR BIRD CARDS (PUNCH ON RETURN)-
With the Regular Membership, only the birds recovered are deducted from your card, except for when 80% of the birds from your card have been released or the first weekend in January. In either case, (80% or 1st weekend in January) all birds released are pre-punched.
We determine the number of birds released based on the 10% rule (i.e. standard plant). Each time, you make a reservation, we will release 10% of the number of birds purchased in a designated field. Ex: You purchase a 50 bird card, we release five (5) birds each time you come out. Under the Regular Membership, if only one out of five are recovered, one bird comes off your card. The other exception to the rule is if you request a custom plant.
Custom Plant
A custom plant is anything other than a standard plant and the number of birds requested (as a minimum) are deducted from your card, regardless of the number of birds recovered. *No custom plants after the first weekend in January.
All waterfowl hunts are fully guided by our professional, licensed waterfowl guides. Our properties are managed specifically for waterfowl hunting and are only hunted one or two days out of the week. We hunt ducks and geese from layout blinds and sunken steel blinds depending on what type of habitat the birds are using.
Our goal is to shoot ducks and geese at 20 yards or less! Our properties are scouted before the hunt to make sure the birds are there. Be sure to check out our Photo Gallery to see pictures of our recent hunts! After each hunt, you may enjoy a bbq at the clubhouse and have all of your waterfowl cleaned while you are enjoying lunch!
Guided Goose Hunt Pricing
$250.00 per person - Two hunter minimum for a 1/2 day hunt

Our wild pig hunts will surely get your adrenaline pumping from the start of the hunt and it will not stop until the very end! All wild pig hunts are fully guided. We are determined to make each hunt a great one! Season starts in March and goes through the end of summer. The ranch is located outside of Maxwell, CA. The hogs are free ranging. We do not subliment our properties with pen-raised hogs and there is no high fence. Hunts start early in the morning and can go until the end of day. Pricing - $550.00 per person
Turkey hunts at GHP will get your heart racing and want you coming back for more. With a high success rate, each hunt will get you up close and personal with the turkeys where they are so close, they are practically walking over you. All turkey hunts are fully guided.
The properties we hunt turkeys on are some of the best in the state. With properties in both El Dorado and Placer Counties we always have options. Our properties are never over-hunted. Whether we are hunting turkey out of a ground blind or on the move our goal is to get 20 yards from a trophy Tom. This is an experience you do not want miss! We have multiple properties available for Dog Training whether it is to get your pointer ready for hunting upland game or to get your retriever ready for waterfowl or both. With both open fields and ponds, you will have your dog trained in no time! These properties are available during the season and in the off season.

About The Foundation
In memory of Jim Garcia's son, John Garcia who passed away from Meningococcal meningitis in 2000. A youth and wildlife foundation was started up in his name to create opportunities for under-served urban students to connect with the outdoors and build a greater respect for the wild resources. This foundation continues to connect children with the world of nature everyday.
